Offers relationship counselling with specially trained counsellors experienced in working with individuals and couples. This means you can see them about any subject on your own or with a partner or ex partner.

Offer a telephone helpline to families and individuals affected by Asperger's Syndrome (AS) for people across the country. The counselling team have specialist training to help them to meet the needs of individuals, families and couples dealing with Aspergers Syndrome and other types of autism.

 

National Autistic Society

Champions the rights and interests of all people with autism and aims to provide individuals with autism and their families with help, support and services that they can access, trust and rely upon and which can make a positive difference to their lives.

 

Tony Attwood

Tony is well known for sharing his knowledge of Aspergers Syndrome. and has written several publications on Aspergers Sydrome. His book, titled Aspergers Syndrome, has now been translated into several languages.

He has an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Hull, Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Surrey and a PhD from the University of London.

 

ASPECT

Counselling, therapy and coaching for individuals with Asperger’s syndrome and/or family members. Including specialist couple counselling where one or both partners has Asperger’s syndrome. ASPECT uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as integrative and Mindfulness-based models of counselling and therapy.

 

Maxine Aston

Specialises in working with individuals, couples and families who are affected by Asperger Syndrome. Maxine's offers counselling to people affected by Aspergers syndrome and offers assessments as to whether someone is on the autistic spectrum.
